Description

This old paperback novel is a copy of the famous Commissaire San-Antonio, titled "Y'a bon, San-Antonio", published by Éditions Fleuve Noir. The visible cover features a colorful illustration in the graphic style typical of the mid-20th century, depicting a silhouette in medieval armor standing near a man lying down, in a brick-walled room. The whole evokes the atmosphere of retro detective novels, with dominant blue, gray, and red on the jacket.

The front cover of the book displays clear inscriptions: the title in red characters "Y'a bon, San-Antonio" occupies the top, while the mention "Commissaire SAN-ANTONIO" appears at the bottom on a red and blue band, followed by the publisher "Éditions Fleuve Noir" in white on a black background. The original, signed illustration reinforces the vintage aspect and authenticity of this emblematic crime novel.

The book shows clear signs of period wear: rounded corners, visible scuff marks on the edges, and crease marks on the cover. These signs confirm its age and use, while maintaining the legibility of all graphic and textual elements. No major damage is apparent on the visible front.

The format is typical of a paperback, with a soft illustrated cover. No details on the spine, back, or inner pages are visible in this image. The drawn scene, mixing suspense and dark humor, perfectly reflects the spirit of San-Antonio novels published by Fleuve Noir in the second half of the 20th century.

The layout and graphics, as well as the Fleuve Noir logo, allow this novel to be placed in the vintage period of French crime novels, probably from the 1950s to the 1970s, although this cannot be stated with certainty from this single view.
