Description

This vintage crime novel is a pocket-sized copy of the famous Commissioner San-Antonio's work, entitled "De "A" jusqu'à "Z"". The cover features a typical Fleuve Noir illustration, depicting a handcuffed man with his arms raised above his head, against a stone wall, in a palette of dark and realistic colors. The dominant hues are midnight blue, gray, and red, with lighting effects that accentuate the dramatic tension of the scene.

On the cover, the title "De "A" jusqu'à "Z"" appears in red capital letters, with a retro typography characteristic of French crime novels from the 50s and 60s. At the bottom of the cover, a red band bears the inscription "Commissaire SAN-ANTONIO" in white, while "FLEUVE NOIR" is inscribed in golden capital letters on a black background. The illustrator's signature (illegible) is visible in the lower right corner of the illustration.

The copy shows the marks of an authentic vintage paperback: blunted corners, creases and signs of wear on the cover, particularly visible at the top and on the left edge. The edges show slight yellowing, typical of old books, and the binding appears flexible. The spine is not visible in this photo.

The object is standing upright on a patinated wooden surface, in front of a bookshelf filled with old bindings, suggesting a context of a bookstore or an antique dealer specializing in old books and vintage crime novels.

Condition

Used paperback, sold as is. Shows visible signs of wear on the cover (creases, scuffed corners, scratches). The interior and spine are not visible in the photo.
