Description

This old paperback is a copy of the famous detective novel "Tu vas trinquer San-Antonio", signed by Commissioner San.Antonio and published by "Fleuve Noir" editions. The visible cover features an illustration typical of French detective novels from the 1950s to the 1970s: a man in a suit, sitting in front of a fireplace, reading a letter in a nocturnal and mysterious atmosphere. The dominant colors are midnight blue, vibrant orange for the title, and warm tones around the fireplace. The title "TU VAS TRINQUER SAN.ANTONIO" is spread in red capital letters, while the mention "Commissaire SAN.ANTONIO" is printed in blue on an orange band, reinforcing the retro graphic style.

The cover shows pronounced signs of wear: visible creases, rounded corners, scratches, and crumpling over the entire surface. The illustration nevertheless remains legible, with the central scene intact and the text perfectly identifiable. The left edge of the book shows a slight deformation, a sign of repeated use, typical of vintage paperbacks that have circulated.

The emblematic style of "Fleuve Noir" editions, a major publisher of popular detective novels in France during the second half of the 20th century, is recognizable. The author San.Antonio, pseudonym of Frédéric Dard, is also legible on the cover, which gives the work particular interest for fans of retro crime literature. No other details of the binding or spine are visible in the photo.

The retro graphics of the cover, the dynamic typography, and the illustrated atmosphere are typical of the San-Antonio collection, recognizable among all by its aesthetic choices and practical paperback format. This novel fully fits into the tradition of successful French detective stories, appreciated for their offbeat tone and fast-paced plots.
