Description

This antique burlap sack, presented here against a natural wood background, testifies to agricultural or commercial use from the early to mid-20th century. The visible side shows a thick, patinated beige fabric, typical of merchandise transport sacks. The original printing, in blue-grey, remains partially legible despite the marks of time: "ENGRAIS" (FERTILIZER) is clearly discernible, along with a central logo depicting a stylized basket and agricultural tools, and "G. LETELLIER MONTPELLIER" printed in large letters.

The fabric has a coarse and regular texture, characteristic of jute sacks used for fertilizers, seeds, or agricultural commodities. Several signs of wear, stains, and small discolored areas are visible, enhancing the authenticity of the piece. A repaired or reinforced area with a fabric patch is also observable in the lower left corner, typical of period repairs on this type of material.

The sack is photographed flat, which allows for appreciation of the entire printed design and the overall condition of the fabric.
