This Santon de Provence depicts a standing male figure, rooted on a circular, clay-like base, holding a fishing pole with a rope wrapped around his right hand. His face, characterized by a white beard and hand-painted features, is topped with a red Phrygian cap, typical of traditional Provençal santons. The hair and beard are finely sculpted, highlighting the attention to detail in the creation of this folk subject.

The costume consists of a striped open-collar shirt under a sleeveless waistcoat with a stylized floral pattern, evoking ancient Provençal fabrics. The jacket is adorned with black and red patterns on an ecru background, adding an artisanal touch to the ensemble. The figure wears blue straight trousers, rolled up at the ankle, and stands barefoot on his base, a characteristic posture of the santon tradition.
