Description

This French phone card features an advertising side dedicated to the Jacques Vabre coffee brand, specifically the "Les Cafériades" range. The card displays a colorful visual on a dark background, highlighting three instant coffee jars with distinct labels: "Nectar" and "Quinza". The vibrant colors of the green, yellow, orange, and blue labels contrast with the dark background, adorned with stylized firework patterns. At the top, the inscription "RECEVEZ 40 F SUR VOS ACHATS DE SOLUBLE" (RECEIVE 40 F ON YOUR INSTANT COFFEE PURCHASES) appears in golden capital letters, typical of a promotional campaign from the late 20th century.

The upper left corner features a golden chip characteristic of microprocessor phone cards, accompanied by the mention "Télécarte 120" on the right side, indicating the card's capacity in units. The "Les Cafériades Jacques Vabre" logo is clearly visible at the bottom left, with the precision "Arome intense" (Intense aroma) in red.

The visible surface of the card has a smooth, glossy finish, classic of laminated phone cards from that era. No major defects are observable on the front: the printing is clear, the colors well-preserved, with no apparent scratches or significant signs of wear on the visible area.

The graphic design, with its product illustrations and promotional typography, evokes a French advertising style from the 1990s. This phone card thus combines interest in vintage telephone objects and retro advertising related to the world of coffee.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The visible side is in very good general condition, with no major defects observable in the photo.

Did you know? Chip-based phone cards were introduced in France in the early 1980s to replace telephone tokens. Advertising editions, like this one dedicated to Jacques Vabre, were often produced in limited series and have become sought-after items of French telephone heritage.
