Description

A chip telephone card, known as a "télécarte," issued for Peugeot Assistance. The card features a typical 1990s design, with a dominant pastel blue and a distinct advertising-style illustration. On the visible side, the Peugeot logo with a white lion on a blue background is at the top, followed by "PEUGEOT ASSISTANCE" and the toll-free number "05.44.24.24". A blue band on the bottom left reads "Télécarte 50", indicating a capacity of 50 telephone units.

The central illustration depicts a smiling man in a floral shirt, white glasses, and a straw hat, adorned with a flower necklace, evoking a relaxed, summery atmosphere. This advertising visual, typical of 1990s automotive marketing, plays on the contrast between relaxation and assistance service.

The golden chip characteristic of French phone cards is clearly visible on the left side, above the visual. The card's edges are clean and the corners rounded, in accordance with manufacturing standards of the time.

The background of the card is a blue gradient, enhanced with graphic details (white text, blue frames). No major defects are observable on the visible surface: no chips, scratches, or significant wear on the chip or the print.

This phone card combines an interest in automotive advertising with the history of pre-mobile communication methods. Its colorful design and the presence of the Peugeot logo make it an emblematic object of the 1990s, at the crossroads of the telecom and automotive worlds.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The visible side is in very good visual condition, with no apparent defects on the printed area or the chip.

Did you know? Chip phone cards were introduced in France in the early 1980s, gradually replacing telephone tokens.
