Description

French Télécarte-type telephone card, advertising edition for the Sauter brand. The visible side features a colourful and original design: a fried egg in a pan, illustrating the slogan "L'INDUCTION DÉCUPLE MES POUVOIRS" (INDUCTION MULTIPLIES MY POWERS). The card has a gold chip on the left, characteristic of chip cards used in France from the 1990s onwards. At the bottom, the "Sauter" signature is visible in green, accompanied by the slogan "NOUS CUISINONS SI BIEN ENSEMBLE" (WE COOK SO WELL TOGETHER). On the right side, a vertical band indicates "Télécarte 50", specifying the original capacity in communication units.

The design evokes the world of cooking and highlights induction technology, linked to Sauter brand household appliances. The dominant colours are black, grey and green, with a yellow/orange accent for the egg yolk, providing a dynamic visual touch. The card has a smooth surface, typical of laminated phone cards from that era.

The careful arrangement of the inscriptions and the highly visible logo give this card a distinct advertising appeal. The overall visual is clean, without superfluous illustration, reflecting the graphic trends of promotional materials from the 90s. No major flaws are apparent on the visible side: the surface appears free of deep scratches or noticeable chips.

The card is photographed on a yellow textile background, which enhances its colours and design. Only the front side is visible; no information about the back is provided here.

This Sauter advertising Télécarte is a typical example of household appliance brand communication during the rise of induction in France. It is aimed at those looking for a vintage phone card, both a communication medium and an iconic everyday object from the 1990s.

Condition

Used item sold as is. The visible surface of the card shows no major apparent defects; the inscriptions and the advertising visual are clearly legible.

Did you know? Chip-enabled phone cards, introduced in France from 1986, gradually replaced tokens and magnetic stripe cards in public phone booths. Their popularity in the 90s led to many special editions, particularly advertising ones, like this Sauter card highlighting induction technology, a flagship innovation in French household appliances at that time.
