Vintage Miniwatt Dario tube radio with original box, old, untested
AFW - Antique France Worldwide
Description
This lot includes an antique Miniwatt Dario radio tube, presented in its original box. The tube, of the miniature rimlock type, is clearly identifiable by its characteristic shape: a transparent glass bulb revealing the internal elements, with a black base and several visible metal pins. The original box, made of rigid cardboard, features vintage graphics in red, blue, and yellow, typical of the 1950s-1960s. The inscriptions "Séries Rimlock Miniature Transcontinentales et Américaines" (Transcontinental and American Miniature Rimlock Series) and the "MINIWATT DARIO" logo are clearly visible on the front, confirming the product's origin and typology.
The box design, with its bright colors and graphic fonts, evokes the technical aesthetics of mid-20th century electronic equipment. The tube itself is in good visual condition, with no apparent cracks or breaks on the glass surface. The internal elements (electrodes, grid, filament) are clearly visible through the transparency, indicating careful manufacturing. The black base, typical of rimlock tubes, shows the connection pins aligned and intact on the visible side.
The original box, well preserved, shows some minor signs of wear, particularly on the corners and the bottom flap, without major alteration to the graphics. There is also a white label with the inscription "D-2" on one of the flaps, probably an identification or stock reference. The yellow tab visible at the base bears the inscription "Bon de garantie" (Warranty voucher), highlighting the authenticity of the period packaging.
This electronic component is typical of vintage radio and audio equipment, used in radio sets, amplifiers, or measuring devices from the 1950s to the 1960s. Its presentation with original packaging is an asset for the authenticity and preservation of the object.
The tube is presented here untested; no functional tests have been carried out. All visible sides in the photo are faithfully described above, with no assumptions about hidden sides.
Condition
Used item, sold as is, untested. No chips or cracks visible on the glass. Original box present, with minor signs of wear consistent with age.
