Description

This 45 rpm vinyl record features a photographic cover showcasing singer Adamo, a major figure in French music. The visible side shows a blue-backed sleeve with a portrait of Adamo, dressed in a brown jacket and a green sweater, looking up at the sky. The white typography of the name "ADAMO" occupies a central and imposing position on the cover, a graphic characteristic of the 1960s. In the upper right are the titles of the tracks included on this record: "Mes mains sur tes hanches", "Grand-père, grand-mère", "Viens ma brune", and "Le barbu sans barbe".

The cover displays the EMI/La Voix de son Maître label logo in the upper left, confirming an original EMI licensed edition, very common in the French market at the time. The reference number "EGF 827" is clearly legible, an important element for the precise identification of this pressing. The mention "Photo Patrick Bertrand" appears in the lower right, attesting to period photographic work.

The ensemble clearly evokes the French pop aesthetic of the 1960s, both in the singer's clothing style and the graphic layout of the sleeve. No other elements or accessories are visible on the side shown, the back and the vinyl itself are not visible in this photograph.

The visible surface of the cover shows some moderate signs of wear, typical of an old record: slight handling marks, very slightly dulled corners, but no tears or apparent chips on this side. The colors remain well-preserved, with a still vibrant blue background and clear details on the inscriptions and photograph.

Condition

Did you know? Salvatore Adamo achieved immense success in France and Europe from the early 1960s. His song "Mes mains sur tes hanches", mentioned on this cover, is one of his greatest hits, released in 1965 and becoming a classic of French music.
