Vinyl 45 rpm Adamo J'aime Chanson en Rondelles Comme Toujours EMI EGF 858
AFW - Antique France Worldwide
Description
This 45 rpm vinyl record features a sleeve illustrated with a color photograph depicting the singer Adamo, standing in front of a graffiti-covered wall. The name "Adamo" is written in pink letters on the wall, accompanied by a stylized treble clef. The upper part of the sleeve has a bright pink band with the main titles: "J’AIME ●●●● CHANSON EN RONDELLES" and "COMME TOUJOURS ● CEUX QUE J’AIME", printed in white letters. The EMI logo, as well as that of the record label, appear in the top left, while the reference "EGF 858" is in the top right.
The sleeve displays a typical 1960s aesthetic, with colorful graphics and a portrait of the artist in a suit and tie, hands on hips. The handwritten inscriptions and drawings in the background evoke a young and modern world, consistent with popular French song of that period. The name of the photographer, Benjamin Auger (Salut les Copains), is mentioned in the bottom left.
The visible side of the record is not shown in the image, but the sleeve suggests a standard 45 rpm format, suitable for classic vinyl turntables. The main colors are magenta pink, off-white, and touches of black and grey in the portrait. No major defects, signs of wear, or tears are visible in the photographed area, and the sleeve appears to be in good overall condition.
The main titles are clearly highlighted, facilitating quick identification for fans of French song and vinyl records. The graphic presentation and typography reinforce the pop style of the 60s. The visual elements (graffiti wall, Adamo's relaxed pose) contribute to the identity of this EMI France edition.
Condition
Used item, sold as is. The visible side of the sleeve appears clean and well-preserved, with no snags or significant creases. The corners seem sharp and the surface shows no apparent stains.
Did you know? The 45 rpm format became the preferred medium for singles from the 1950s onwards, gradually replacing the 78 rpm. Adamo, a Belgian singer-songwriter of Italian origin, achieved great success in France in the 1960s, particularly with titles released on this type of medium.
