Description

This 45 rpm vinyl record features the single "Japanese Boy" performed by Aneka, as indicated on the sleeve. The item visible in the photo is an illustrated cardboard sleeve, typical of the 1980s, displaying colorful lettering in stylized Japanese characters, as well as the title and artist's name in yellow and red letters. The mention "N°1 in England" is clearly printed at the top of the sleeve, highlighting the international success of the title upon its release.

The visible side of the sleeve shows a graphic characteristic of the period, combining multicolored patterns (pink, green, blue, red) on a black background, as well as a stylized portrait of a woman with Asian features, created in vector illustration. The name "ANEKA" appears vertically on a red band to the left. Two handwritten signatures are visible in the bottom right corner of the sleeve ("Laboul" and "Carla"), which gives this copy a unique dimension.

The item shows visible signs of wear, including creases, wrinkles, and marks on the cardboard surface, which attest to prior use and reinforce the vintage authenticity of the piece. The colors remain vibrant and the graphics are well preserved despite the signs of age. No record is visible in the photo; only the sleeve is displayed.

This type of 45 rpm vinyl, with its illustrated cardboard sleeve, is emblematic of 80s pop music production. The design blends Western influences with graphic references to Japanese culture, in line with the theme of the title "Japanese Boy."

The cardboard sleeve, with its visual aspect and multi-colored inscriptions, constitutes a retro and sought-after decorative element for collectors of vintage vinyl records and international pop music. The object is photographed against a background of wood paneling and stained glass, which enhances its graphic character.
