Description

This 45 RPM vinyl features the cover of the record "Les Roses Blanches" performed by Berthe Sylva on its visible side. The sleeve is predominantly dark green and pale yellow, with a large visual of yellow roses on a leafy background, characteristic of a vintage floral design. At the top, the artist's name "BERTHE SYLVA" is printed in blue capital letters on a white background. Also, to the left, is the CBS label logo accompanied by the mention "3807 FAVORITES", as well as the series title "série GEMINI" to the right. The main title "les roses blanches" is followed in smaller print by "on n’a pas tous les jours vingt ans".

The square-shaped sleeve features a matte print typical of French editions from the 60s-70s. Some visible signs of wear are noticeable on the edges and a prominent crease in the upper right corner, testifying to the object's age. The text and logo printing remains clear and legible, without major alteration. The photograph of the roses highlights the sentimental and retro aspect of this record, with a soft floral aesthetic and a faded color palette, faithful to the productions of that era.

This 45 RPM record, attributed to Berthe Sylva, is an emblematic medium of old French song. The graphic elements and presentation perfectly correspond to the visual standards of CBS vinyls from the second half of the 20th century. All inscriptions are in French, which confirms a local edition. The sleeve does not show any visible decorative additions or stickers on the exposed side.

It should be noted that the back and the vinyl itself are not visible in the photo, so it is impossible to describe their condition or the possible presence of other information. Only the front cover is presented, placed on a wooden bench in an indoor environment with dominant light stone and stained-glass windows, which highlights the contrast between the floral sleeve and the antique decor.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The sleeve shows signs of wear, including creases and scuffs visible on the edges and corners. The print remains legible, and the floral image retains its original clarity despite its apparent age.

Did you know? Berthe Sylva, famous for her popular songs from the early 20th century, left her mark on collective memory with "Les Roses Blanches", a title initially recorded in 1926. This song became a classic of French realistic song, often re-released on 45 RPM vinyl in the 1960s and 1970s, notably by the CBS label.
