Description

This 45 rpm vinyl record features a photographic cover showcasing Claude François with a young dog lying beside him. The cover's visual, dominated by soft, natural tones, shows the artist wearing a checkered shirt, with his head resting on his arm, and a slight smile. The dog, with light fur and a red collar, is positioned in the foreground, its head resting on Claude François's hand. The overall scene evokes an atmosphere of complicity and tenderness, typical of 1960s French record sleeves.

The cover displays the Philips label logo in the upper left, an emblematic mark of music publishing during that period. The artist's name, "claude françois", appears in large red and white letters on a blue-grey background. The song titles are listed to the right in yellow and white letters: "Petite mèche de cheveux", "Chaque jour c’est la même chose", "Maman chérie", and "Laisse moi tenir ta main". In the upper right, "MEDIUM 434.863 BE" is visible, corresponding to the pressing reference.

The sleeve appears to be made of soft cardboard, typical of 45 rpm sleeves of the era, with a matte finish. Some signs of wear are visible on the surface, including slight marks and small stains, consistent with a vintage used item. The corners of the sleeve show very slight blunting, with no apparent tears on the front.

The photographic presentation, graphic style, and typography clearly place this record in the aesthetic of the 1960s, a significant period in Claude François's career. The overall design is perfectly legible, with a strong contrast between the lettering and the background image.

The red "PHILIPS" logo in the bottom right confirms the original release by this renowned record label. No other decorative elements or accessories are visible on the front.
