Description

Illustrated Japanese 45 rpm vinyl, presented in its original sleeve. The jacket features a colourful visual inspired by the anime "Harmagedon" (幻魔大戦 / Genma Taisen), with an imposing robot in the background and three main characters in the foreground, in a graphic style typical of early 1980s Japanese animated productions. The dominant colours are red, orange, and yellow, with touches of black and pink, giving the sleeve a dynamic and retro look.

The front of the sleeve displays large Japanese inscriptions, accompanied by the English translation "HARMAGEDON" at the bottom. The title of the main track "Children of the Light" is also visible, along with the names of the artists, including Rosemary Butler and Keith Emerson, in Latin and Japanese characters. The "Canyon International" logo is visible in the upper left, indicating the Japanese origin of the disc.

The disc format is a 45 rpm (single), as indicated by the presentation and the mention on the sleeve. The front also shows the pressing references: "7Y0039 STEREO ¥700", located in the upper left, as well as the mention "SIDE A" and "SIDE B" for the tracks on each side.

The sleeve is made of glossy paper, with a plastic protector visible in the photo. The print quality, colours, and graphic composition evoke the aesthetics of the 1980s, in keeping with the release of the anime from which it originated. No major defects are visible in the image, but some reflections and handling marks are noticeable on the protective surface.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. Presence of reflections and possible signs of wear on the plastic sleeve visible in the photo. Front of the jacket in apparent good condition, with no visible tears or folds in the image.

Did you know? Harmagedon (Genma Taisen) is a Japanese animated film released in 1983, directed by Rintaro and based on the manga by Kazumasa Hirai and Shotaro Ishinomori. The film's music, from which this 45 rpm record features an excerpt, was composed by Keith Emerson, a member of the band Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
