Jean Philippe Barclay 45 rpm vinyl, OUI OUI OUI, vintage 60s
AFW - Antique France Worldwide
Description
This 45 rpm vinyl record features Jean Philippe, accompanied by J. Bouchety and his orchestra, under the Barclay label. The sleeve displays a black and white photograph of the smiling singer against a plain background. On the left, the repeated phrase "OUI OUI OUI OUI" appears in a vertical pale pink band. The upper part lists several titles including "DIS-LUI QUE JE L'AIME", "J'AI MIS NOTRE AMOUR AU MONDE" and "CE SERMENT D'AMOUR". The Barclay label, visible in the upper right, is typical of French productions from the first half of the 1960s. The reference 70 225 is in the upper left of the sleeve.
The artwork of the jacket, both sober and elegant, uses visual codes characteristic of French musical productions of the era: black and white studio photograph, contrasting typography, a colored band for the title, and the mention of the orchestra leader. The phrase "Accompagné par J. Bouchety et son orchestre" (Accompanied by J. Bouchety and his orchestra) is printed in red letters on a wide black band, highlighting the importance of orchestral accompaniment in this type of production.
The record comes in a cardboard sleeve, the visible side of which shows some signs of wear, including creases and slight handling marks, visible in the lower part. There is also a slight patina over the entire jacket, reflecting its age, without major alteration to the artwork or text. No major chips or tears are visible on the front.
The overall presentation fully evokes the vintage aesthetic of the 60s, both by the pastel color palette and by the layout and photography. This type of vinyl is sought after for its historical and musical value, as well as for the graphic quality of its period sleeves.
Condition
