Description

This 45 rpm vinyl features the original sleeve of the single "Chez Madame Lolita / Guerre" performed by Johnny Hallyday. The item is clearly identifiable as a 45 rpm vinyl record, thanks to the square size and shape of the sleeve visible in the photo. The sleeve is characterized by its monochrome visual: a black and white photograph of Johnny Hallyday, bust shot, illuminated by a graphic shadow effect in the background. The artist, wearing a dark t-shirt, adopts a profile pose, looking towards the light. The name "JOHNNY HALLYDAY" appears in white capital letters at the bottom of the sleeve, while the titles "CHEZ MADAME LOLITA / GUERRE" are inscribed at the top, also in capital letters. The Philips label logo is clearly visible in the upper right corner.

The sleeve has a fairly wide white border that frames the central photograph. The graphic print and typography are typical of French record productions from the second half of the 20th century, and the overall impression evokes a vintage style, probably from the 1970s or 1980s. No other decorative elements or illustrations are present, which emphasizes the artist's portrait and the sobriety of the design.

The record is presented outdoors, placed on a wooden table, with a natural background of trees and vegetation, but only the front of the sleeve is visible. No details about the condition of the vinyl itself or the back of the sleeve are observable. However, the photograph suggests a sleeve in fair condition, with slight wear and a few discreet marks on the surface.

The clearly displayed Philips label attests to the original edition under this label, which was very present in the French record market during this period. The two main titles, "Chez Madame Lolita" and "Guerre," are explicitly mentioned at the top of the sleeve.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The sleeve shows slight signs of wear visible on the front (small marks and signs of use). The vinyl record itself is not visible in the photo.

Did you know? Johnny Hallyday, considered one of the pioneers of rock in France, released many 45 rpm singles under the Philips label, particularly in the 1970s and 1980s. The 45 rpm format, very popular at the time, allowed new titles to be discovered in single or double-sided editions, before the advent of the CD.
