Vinyl 45 RPM Les Compagnons de la Chanson Polydor vintage retro sleeve
AFW - Antique France Worldwide
Description
45 rpm vinyl record in an illustrated sleeve featuring the French vocal group Les Compagnons de la Chanson. The visible side of the sleeve shows a color photograph of the group members, aligned in two rows in front of an urban backdrop evoking a city panorama, probably Paris, with a bridge and the Seine in the background. The nine members are dressed in sweaters and shirts of various colors (red, sky blue, yellow, brown, pink, white, green), giving the whole a typical aesthetic of 1960s French musical productions.
The sleeve displays the song titles in bright yellow and pink lettering at the top: "Cheveux fous et lèvres roses", "Compagnons de la Marjolaine", "L’enfant aux cymbales", "Kalinka". The group's name "LES COMPAGNONS DE LA CHANSON" appears in large yellow letters on a dark background in the lower part. On the right side, the Polydor label logo is clearly visible, printed on a red and black disc, characteristic of French editions of that era.
A sticker at the bottom left mentions "R.T.D. Radio Télévision Disques – 54-81 6e de Strasbourg TOULON – Tel. 92.47", which likely corresponds to an old distributor or point of sale. The sleeve has a retro look, with some visible signs of wear on the corners and edges, indications of past use and prolonged storage, without any major tears observed on the presented side.
The sleeve's surface shows a slight sheen, typical of prints from that period. No details of the record itself are visible in this image (neither the center label nor the condition of the vinyl), only the front cover is presented. The graphic style, typography, and photography suggest a period edition, in line with the popular musical aesthetic of the 60s.
This Polydor 45 rpm vinyl record by Les Compagnons de la Chanson brings together several of the group's flagship titles, with a visual presentation emblematic of vintage French chanson repertoire. This item is aimed at anyone looking for a retro musical object or an authentic decorative piece from this decade.
