Description

This 45 rpm vinyl record features the cover art for "L'Esprit de Noël" (The Spirit of Christmas), released by Disques Vogue under reference EPL 7690. The visible side shows a colorful illustration depicting a Nativity scene, with stylized figures dressed in white and blue draperies adorned with golden details. The central image highlights the Virgin Mary lying near the Infant Jesus, surrounded by several characters and elements evoking traditional Christmas imagery.

The upper part of the cover displays a white band with the title "L’ESPRIT DE NOËL" in large blue letters. Also mentioned are the Petit Chœur du Collège de Montreux, Charles Jauquier, and director Robert Mermoud. To the right, the "disques Vogue" logo is clearly visible in black and white, accompanied by the reference EPL 7690. Below the main title, a list of classic Christmas carols is listed in colored letters: "Voici Noël, Ô douce nuit, Il est né le divin enfant, Mon beau sapin, Minuit chrétien" (Here is Christmas, O Holy Night, He is born the divine child, O Christmas Tree, O Holy Night).

The cover shows slight signs of wear visible on the upper right edge, with a small tear and a pronounced crease near the logo. The rest of the front face is in correct visual condition, although some superficial marks and paper wear on the edges are discernible. The colors remain vibrant and the main visual is still legible and attractive.

This vinyl record is typical of Christmas carol record releases produced in the 1960s, identifiable by its graphics, the layout of the Vogue label, and the style of the cover photograph. The 45 rpm format is confirmed by the keywords and the object's presentation.

Condition

Used vinyl record, sold as is. Cover with visible signs of wear, tear at the top right and signs of use on the edges. Front face generally in good visual condition, colors preserved. The vinyl record itself is not visible in the photo.

Did you know? The Disques Vogue label, founded in France in 1947, largely contributed to the dissemination of popular and classical European repertoire, notably with Christmas carol releases performed by children's choirs in the 1950s and 1960s. The Petit Chœur du Collège de Montreux was renowned for its recordings of traditional songs during this period.
