Description

This 45 rpm vinyl record, presented in its original sleeve, features the Marino Marini Quartette. The predominantly yellow jacket with a wide colorful border displays a black and white photograph of the group in the center, all dressed in suits and ties, in a joyful and friendly atmosphere. The inscription "Dansons joyeusement... Vol. 3" is clearly visible at the top of the sleeve, as is the mention "avec MARINO MARINI quartette" at the bottom, in stylized black and yellow letters.

On the left side of the sleeve are listed two titles: "LA PANSE - fox" and "LETTRE À VIRGINIE - boléro". On the right side, two other titles are mentioned: "ME QUE ME QUE - samba" and "PARATA DI GIOCATTOLI - fox". Just above the photo, the reference number "DVEP 95.014" is clearly visible, accompanied by the "vogue custom" logo.

The sleeve shows visible signs of wear: marked creases, handling marks, blunted corners, and a small tear in the center of the visual. The colors, although original, remain legible and contrasted, offering a nice retro effect typical of the 50s-60s. No back is visible in the photo; only the front is described here.

The graphics and typography, as well as the photographic composition, are characteristic of popular vinyl record sleeves in France in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The overall feel evokes the atmosphere of dance halls and Italian variety music from the post-war era.

Condition

Did you know? Marino Marini, an Italian pianist and orchestra leader, achieved great success in Europe in the 1950s and 1960s with his quartette, notably thanks to popular titles blending swing, foxtrot, and Latin rhythms. The Vogue label, mentioned on this sleeve, was one of the most influential for the dissemination of international music in France at that time.
