Description
Vintage 45-rpm vinyl record, with a color photograph of singer Petula Clark on the front. The sleeve features a blue background with a bust portrait of Petula Clark, with blonde hair, wearing a dark blue top. The design highlights the artist's name in bright blue letters at the top left ("PETULA CLARK"), as well as the main title "ROMEO" in pink in the center. Also noted are the words "Chante en français" (Sings in French) and the accompaniment by Peter Knight and his orchestra, written in small print. The "disques Vogue" label and the reference "PNV. 24.086" are clearly visible at the top right.

The sleeve lists four titles: "ROMEO", "Les Bougainvillées", "Calendar Girl (Tout au long du calendrier)", and "Pardon pour notre amour", all mentioned on the front. The ensemble is typical of French productions from the first half of the 1960s, both in terms of photographic style and the pastel color palette and typography used. The Disques Vogue logo, in black and white, is affixed in an oval cartouche.

The vinyl record is not visible in the photo; only the cardboard sleeve is, showing a sheen and some surface wear: marks, light scratches, and worn corners, indicating previous use. No major chips or tears are apparent on the displayed side. The orange spine discreetly appears at the bottom of the image.

The presentation of the object on a raw wood background and in front of a bookshelf of antique books suggests a vintage and authentic context, reinforcing the retro aspect of this record. No other accessories or content elements (lyrics, back, condition of the vinyl itself) are visible or describable here.

Condition
Used item sold as is. Cardboard sleeve shows signs of wear from use: marked corners, superficial scratches, handling marks.

Did you know? Petula Clark, a major figure in French-English variety music, achieved international success from the 1960s onwards. The title "Romeo," released on Disques Vogue, is one of her emblematic songs recorded in French, during a period when she regularly collaborated with arranger Peter Knight.
