Description

This 45 rpm vinyl record features a picture sleeve with a colorful, retro design, typical of French music productions from the 1970s-1980s. The visible side of the sleeve displays the title "VEUX-TU DORMIR AUPRÈS DE MOI" in large white letters on a blue background, topped by a stylized sky with pink and purple clouds. In the center, a bright sun with yellow and orange rays occupies the lower part, above which is the artist or group name "PLEIN SOLEIL" in curved white letters. The overall design evokes a pop graphic style, with vibrant colors and round geometric shapes.

In the bottom right corner of the sleeve, the "ABER DISC’" logo is visible, accompanied by the reference number "87103". This label and reference are printed in black on a stylized artichoke motif, typical of the Aber Disc’ logo. The entire sleeve shows a crisp print, with no handwritten inscriptions or visible stickers on the presented side.

The sleeve appears to be in good visual condition, with slightly marked corners and a very slight bend on the lower left corner. No tears, stains, or major marks are visible in the photographed area. The record is not visible in the photo, and no information about the condition of the vinyl itself can be provided from this image.

This type of 45 rpm record, also known as a single or SP (single play), is sought after for its compact format and artistic sleeves. The retro and colorful visual of this "Plein Soleil" edition perfectly illustrates the popular French musical aesthetic of the second half of the 20th century.

The graphic design used here, with its vivid colors and stylized shapes, recalls the visual trends of the 1970s, a period when French pop and variety music were widely expressed through bold and artistic sleeves.

Condition

Used item sold as is. Sleeve visibly in good overall condition, with slight handling marks and a slightly dog-eared corner. The record is untested, and its condition has not been verified.

Did you know? The 45 rpm format was launched in 1949 by RCA Victor and became the preferred medium for singles from the 1960s to the 1980s. Illustrated sleeves, often created by artists or graphic designers, were a real selling point for French record companies, allowing buyers to quickly identify a title or artist in record store bins.
