Description

This 45 rpm vinyl record features a color photograph of Michel Sardou, a major figure in French chanson, on a plain background. The visual highlights the artist in close-up, with yellow typography for the title "Verdun" in the upper left, and a white inscription "Ils ont le pétrole !... mais c’est tout" (They have the oil!... but that's all) in the upper right. The name "Sardou" appears large, in red with a white border, in the lower right. In the lower left, the Disques Trema label logo is clearly visible, accompanied by the mention "trema" in white lowercase letters on a black and yellow background.

The sleeve, typical square format for 45 rpm records, has a satin finish. The main colors are brown, dark blue, and yellow, with natural nuances related to the portrait's lighting. The lower left edge of the sleeve shows a slight visible crease, suggesting handling or prolonged storage. The upper right corner shows a printed reference (410.128), characteristic of official editions from this label.

The visible side of the sleeve does not show the vinyl itself, but it is clearly a single 45 rpm record, as indicated by the presentation and the standard of the genre at that time. No other elements or accessories are visible on this side.

The graphic and photographic style, as well as the font of the texts, are typical of French music production from the late 1970s to early 1980s. The shirt worn by the artist, the image processing, and the layout correspond to this period.

The Disques Trema logo, a well-known French record label, is distinctly featured on the sleeve, guaranteeing authenticity and easy identification for this type of musical medium.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The sleeve has a slight crease on the lower left corner and some visible handling marks on the surface. The colors remain well-contrasted and the inscriptions perfectly legible.

Did you know? Disques Trema, founded in 1969 by Jacques Revaux and Régis Talar, produced numerous French chanson hits and was Michel Sardou's historic label. The title "Verdun" refers to the famous World War I battle, while "Ils ont le pétrole !... mais c’est tout" is a notable song from Sardou's repertoire, released in the late 1970s.
