Description

This 45 RPM vinyl record features the original sleeve of the single "Manureva / Beguine" performed by Alain Chamfort. On the visible side, the sleeve displays a black and white photograph of the artist, wearing a light shirt and a striped tie, hands in pockets, adopting a characteristic pose from the late 1970s. The name "Alain Chamfort" appears in the top left in a pink box, while the titles "Manureva" and "Beguine" are inscribed in black, stylized letters on the left side of the sleeve.

The CBS label logo is clearly visible at the bottom right, accompanied by the reference CBS7497, confirming the original pressing of the record. The sleeve, in the typical square format of 45 RPM records, shows some signs of wear, notably a slightly creased upper left corner and discreet marks on the white surface, without major impact on the readability of the inscriptions or the central visual.

The graphic composition, with its expressive photograph and clean arrangement, reflects the French pop aesthetic of the late seventies. The close-up presence of the artist, the use of black and white, and the geometric typography are indicative of the visual style of this era, often associated with vinyl releases from the French pop/chanson scene.

The record itself is not visible in this photo; only the front sleeve is shown, allowing appreciation of the visual condition and authenticity of this vintage copy. No additional accessories or inserts are observable in the image.

The sleeve shows an even patina and a few small stains, typical of used vinyl records from this period. The printing of the texts and the CBS logo is clear and consistent with late 1970s standards.

Condition

Used item, sold as-is, with visible wear on the sleeve (creased corners, light marks and stains). The front remains legible and decorative.

Did you know? "Manureva," a major hit for Alain Chamfort released in 1979, was written by Serge Gainsbourg. The title refers to Alain Colas's vanished sailboat during the 1978 Route du Rhum race and has become a classic of French song.
