Description

This 45 rpm vinyl record features the song "Petit Brugnon" by Joan Pau Verdier, released under the Philips label. On the front cover, there is a large color photograph of a young blond boy, wearing a white turtleneck sweater, resting his head on his hand. The background is dark, which highlights the child's face. The inscriptions are clearly legible: the main title "PETIT BRUGNON" appears at the top in yellow letters, followed by the artist's name "JOAN PAU VERDIER" in orange capital letters. At the bottom, the mention "TRISTAN-LA-POISSE" suggests the presence of a second track on the record. The Philips label logo is visible in the upper right corner of the cover.

The cardboard sleeve shows typical signs of wear for an old vinyl record: noticeable creases, crumpled corners, scratches, and white marks on the black surface, especially on the edges and the upper right corner. However, the central photo remains clear and well-centered. No other elements, accessories, or sides of the record are visible in the provided image.

This 45T record is typical of French productions from the 1970s-1980s, both in its cover aesthetic and the graphic style used for the inscriptions. The whole suggests an original edition, characteristic of the vintage period, with printing on a matte cardboard support.

Condition

Did you know? The Philips label greatly contributed to the dissemination of French and Occitan songs in the 1970s, producing many regional artists such as Joan Pau Verdier, a key figure in the Occitan revival. 45 rpm records were the preferred format for single releases at that time, before the rise of the CD.
