Description

This 45 rpm vinyl record features a distinctive graphic illustration on its sleeve, combining blue and orange on an off-white background. The visual highlights a stylized boat populated by characters, evoking a crew of sailors, with a flag adorned with a pirate-like motif. The overall style is naive and dynamic, typical of French musical releases from the 1950s-60s. The sleeve displays the title "les COMPAGNONS du LARGE" (the Companions of the Open Sea) as well as "CHANSONS de la MER" (Songs of the Sea), indicating a clear maritime theme in both the graphics and the musical content.

The visible side also shows the "RCA" label in the bottom left, as well as the reference "F 75 062 (STANDARD)" printed in blue on the right. The number "1" in a blue square suggests that it might be a first volume or part of a series dedicated to the sea. The typography used, both geometric and legible, complements the popular and festive spirit of the sleeve.

The photographed object appears to be a 45 rpm vinyl record (EP or single), as confirmed by the relative size of the sleeve and the absence of any "33 rpm" mention. The sleeve shows visible signs of age and wear: handling marks, dirt, creases, and significant patina in the lower corners, typical of a vintage record that has remained in its original condition. No major tears are visible on the front, but the surface shows some marks and slight yellowing due to time.

The sleeve features flat printing, with no apparent relief effect, and the paper appears matte with a slight texture. No elements of the vinyl record are visible in the photo; only the cardboard sleeve appears. The main colors are a vibrant blue and a deep orange, both well-preserved despite their age, offering effective graphic contrast for display in a retro or marine-themed setting.

The perfectly legible inscriptions are: - "les COMPAGNONS du LARGE" - "CHANSONS de la MER" - "RCA" - "F 75 062 (STANDARD)" - "1" (in a blue square)
