Description

Old miniature depicting a racing car, Étoile Filante model, produced by the CIJ brand. The object visible in the photo is a faithful reproduction of the characteristic aerodynamic lines of this mythical vehicle. The bodywork features a bright blue finish with marked areas of wear showing the metal base, particularly on the fenders, front, and rear. The paint shows multiple chips and traces of use, giving the whole a beautiful authentic patina typical of old toys.

The central cockpit is open, revealing a molded, light-colored driver seated. The details of the figurine are simple, with a dynamic posture evoking driving. Two large vertical fins are visible at the rear, accentuating the futuristic style of the model inspired by 1950s speed records. The overall shape is elongated, with a tapered nose and emphasized curves on the sides of the bodywork.

On the top surface, no apparent markings are visible in the photo, but the appearance of the molding, the silhouette, and the choice of colors correspond to CIJ's emblematic productions in the second half of the 20th century.
