Description

This document, visible in the photo, is an old share, specifically a "Bearer Enjoyment Share" issued by the Société Minière du Djebel Felten, dated July 1, 1952. The presented face is richly decorated with a geometric floral blue frame, typical of French financial securities from the mid-20th century. The center of the document clearly displays the company's name, its share capital, the address of its headquarters in Paris (47, rue Vivienne), as well as the specific share number (N° 0354).

The visual shows a two-tone blue print on a white background, with a central text area and a wide ornamental border. On the right side, a grid of detachable coupons appears, each stamped with a circular red seal bearing the initials "SADF", which confirms their authenticity for the period. These coupons, typical of bearer shares, were used to collect dividends or repayments associated with the share.

Two printed signatures are also visible at the bottom of the document, those of the president and a member of the board of directors, as well as an official red stamp. Three circular perforations are visible in the lower central part, a common practice to indicate payment or partial cancellation of the share.

The overall condition of the document, as it appears in the photo, is very satisfactory: the colors remain vibrant, the paper appears flat and well-preserved, with no visible major tears or stains. The graphic style, typography, and composition are emblematic of the 1950s, with a rigorous yet decorative administrative aesthetic.

The mention "Bearer Enjoyment Share" and the presence of detachable coupons make it a sought-after item in scripophily, perfectly illustrating post-war French financial and industrial practices. This type of security was commonly used to materialize participation in mining or industrial companies, and their graphic aspect makes them appreciated decorative pieces today.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The visible face shows very good color retention, clear inscriptions, and an absence of major apparent defects on the exposed part.

Did you know? "Bearer" shares were anonymous and transferable simply by physical delivery of the document, unlike registered shares. The Société Minière du Djebel Felten operated mining resources in North Africa, and its securities are representative of the growth of French mining companies during the 1950s.
