Description
This document presents a bearer share issued by the Compagnie de Commerce et de Navigation d’Extrême-Orient (Far East Trade and Navigation Company). The visible side shows a neatly presented certificate, bordered by a blue frame with geometric patterns. The title and main details are printed in period typography, with blue and black inscriptions. The company name, the registered office in Saigon, and the value of the share are clearly legible: two hundred and fifty Indochinese piastres, fully paid up, to bearer.
The document also features a series of detachable coupons on the right side, numbered and stamped with the company's red seal. Each coupon bears the company name, the share number (020250), and the associated amount. These coupons are typical of old shares and were used to collect dividends. Their presence attests to the authenticity and completeness of the document.
The paper shows a slight patina, characteristic of financial documents from the 1920s, with gently rounded corners and a slight ripple visible in the lower right corner. At the bottom of the certificate are two printed handwritten signatures, as well as an official red seal. The entire text is perfectly legible, making it a sought-after archival piece in numismatics and scripophily.
The graphic style and printing quality, with an elaborate frame and classic typographies, place this document in the interwar period, probably around the 1920s, consistent with the keywords provided.
The reverse side and any annotations on the back are not visible. The overall condition is good, with moderate wear consistent with age, primarily visible on the edges and the lower right corner.
Condition
Used item, sold as is. Shows patina and some signs of wear and tear (ripple, slightly dog-eared lower right corner) visible in the photo.
