Description
This document is a bearer share issued by the Compagnie Minière du Triunfo, dated September 1, 1924, and denominated for a value of one hundred francs. The piece presented here is an authentic period financial document, intended for investment in the mining industry. The share is distinguished by its wide decorative blue-green border, adorned with stylized floral motifs at the four corners and a graphic frame typical of the 1920s. The paper shows a slight undulation visible in the photo, a sign of its age and prolonged storage.
The top of the document prominently displays the company name "Compagnie Minière du Triunfo," accompanied by the mention "Société Anonyme" and the registered office in Paris. The share number, 179336, is printed in blue in the center. Several original handwritten signatures are visible, including that of the president. The central text, printed in black ink, specifies the terms and nature of the bearer share.
The lower part of the document consists of a grid of detachable coupons, each numbered and bearing the same reference as the main share. These coupons, 28 in number, were used to collect dividends or interest attached to the share. Each coupon is framed and adorned with a red monogram, repeating the company's initials. The whole is printed on slightly ivory-colored paper, with clear printing and neat graphic details, typical of early 20th-century valuable printing.
The general style of the document, its format, typography, and arrangement of elements are characteristic of financial documents issued in the 1920s. The blue-green print, geometric patterns, and use of detachable coupons are typical of this period, making it a representative piece of the economic and industrial history of the era.
The document visible in the photo shows no major tears or apparent stains on the exposed side. Some folds and undulations are visible, without altering the legibility of the inscriptions. The upper and lower corners are well preserved, and the paper structure remains solid. This type of old share testifies to the industrial boom of the early 20th century and the role of mining companies in the global economy.
