Description

This period document is a registered share certificate issued by the Société des Glacières et Frigorifique de Grenoble. The piece, presented here open on a wooden stand, consists of a double sheet: the left page has spaces for nominative information and the list of registered shares, while the right page, printed on light brown tinted paper, is richly framed with an ornamental motif typical of the early 20th century.

The main title "CERTIFICAT NOMINATIF D’ACTIONS" (REGISTERED SHARE CERTIFICATE) is printed in large capital letters in the center, surmounted by the company name and its headquarters in Grenoble. Also visible are the mention of the share capital of 250,000 francs, as well as the reference to the notary and the Rue du Villard-de-Lans in Grenoble, reinforcing the authenticity and local roots of the document.

The central part of the certificate shows spaces for the certificate number, the name of the holder, the date, and the signature of an administrator. A red circular company seal is visible on the right page, adding a period visual element and interest in the history of French companies. The decorative frame, composed of stylized floral motifs, highlights the neat administrative style of the 1920s.

The paper shows a slight homogeneous patina, characteristic of old archives, with some traces of use visible on the lower edges, without major tears or apparent missing parts on the exposed face. The printing, in black and brown, remains perfectly legible, with clear inscriptions and graphics typical of administrative documents from the interwar period.

This uncompleted certificate offers a fine example of a French stock and administrative document from the early 20th century, particularly sought after for retro decoration, historical studies, or to enhance an office or library with a vintage inspiration.

Condition

Old item, in good overall condition for its age, with visible signs of use and a slight patina. Sold as is, as shown in the photo.
