This old issue of the newspaper "Lisette", dated Sunday, July 22, 1934, stands out for its illustrated color cover, typical of interwar youth press. The header also indicates the weekly periodicity of the newspaper, intended for young girls, with the mention "Journal des fillettes" (Girls' Newspaper).

The cover scene highlights a narrative illustration titled "La Barbe de Dentelle" (The Lace Beard), signed at the bottom right "LM". It depicts three female characters in period attire, including a little girl in a green dress, a woman in a traditional headdress, and another young woman, all placed in an interior decorated with a four-poster bed, a workbasket, and a floral tapestry in the background. The dominant colors are vibrant: blue, green, ochre, and red, with black line drawing outlining the contours of the characters and the decor.
