Description

This lot features a vintage issue of the "Lisette" newspaper, as seen in the photo. It is issue number 1 of the fourteenth year, dated Sunday, January 7, 1934. This periodical is explicitly titled "Lisette – Journal des fillettes" (Lisette – Girls' Newspaper), as indicated at the top of the cover. The edition shown has 16 pages, information displayed in a yellow box at the top left of the first page.

The cover is illustrated in color, with a drawing depicting a group of young girls and a man carrying suitcases, in an outdoor setting. The scene is titled "Poucette et ses sœurs" (Poucette and her sisters), a caption at the bottom of the page. The graphic style is typical of comics and children's magazines from the early 20th century, with clean lines and a sober color palette: shades of beige, green, orange, blue, and black dominate the composition.

The upper part of the cover features several distinctive elements: the "Lisette" logo in white handwritten characters on a blue background, yellow inserts for the price (25 centimes) and the page count, as well as stylized roses adorning the title. The newspaper states that it is published weekly, and the office address is legible: 4, rue Gazan, Paris (XIVe).

The paper shows a uniform patina, with marked yellowing, typical of period prints. The edges are slightly creased and some small signs of use are visible, particularly in the corners. No major missing parts or tears are observable on the visible front. The print of the text and illustrations remains clear despite its age.

All main inscriptions are legible, including the mention of the illustrated story to follow "Poucette et ses sœurs" and the indication to see the story on pages 8 and 9. Other editorial details, such as the numbering (652nd delivery) and the precise date, are clearly visible at the top of the page.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. Overall yellowing of the paper, some handling marks and small creases from use visible on the cover. No apparent tears or missing parts on the displayed front. Print and colors well preserved for a periodical of this era.
