Description

Square decorative plate, produced by Fragonard, featuring a winter motif inspired by the Eskimo world. The central scene depicts two characters dressed in richly decorated traditional coats, one adult and one child, against a blue background evoking the inside of an igloo. The decor is highlighted by vibrant shades of orange, yellow, white, and black, with fine details on the visible clothing and accessories.

The edge of the plate is enhanced with a golden rim, which emphasizes the composition and structures the whole. The surface has a smooth and shiny appearance, typical of Fragonard's decorative productions.
