Description

This German banknote is a 50 Mark Reichsbanknote, issued under the German Empire. The visible side features a predominantly green background, adorned with intricate guilloche patterns typical of the early 20th century. The inscription "Reichsbanknote Fünfzig Mark" is printed in yellow Gothic script, occupying the central part of the banknote.

On the right side of the banknote, a female portrait adorned with a floral crown is framed in a decorative cartouche, with the face value "50" placed in golden figures just below. The word "Reihe 1" appears in the upper left, indicating the series of issue. Several signatures and official markings are visible in the lower part, as well as a round printed seal, attesting to the authenticity of the issue by the Reichsbank.

The border of the banknote is highlighted by a wavy pattern and an orange decorative frieze, framing the entire visual. The paper shows an period patina, with traces of wear, marked folds, rounded corners, and some tears, characteristic of banknotes that circulated during this period. The print remains clearly legible on the shown side.

This type of banknote, with its illustration and Gothic characters, is emblematic of the German imperial period, preceding the hyperinflation of the 1920s. The graphic structure, the dominant green color, and the ornamental style recall the monetary productions of the early last century.

The reference to "Imperial Germany" and the value "50 Mark" is clearly visible on the shown side, making it a sought-after item for enthusiasts of historical numismatics and old banknotes.
