Description

This ceremonial belt buckle, typical of the British Army, has a semi-circular shape with curved side panels. It features particularly elaborate raised decoration, dominated by the British royal coat of arms surmounted by an imposing royal crown. Two emblematic heraldic animals are depicted on either side of the coat of arms: the lion on the left and the unicorn on the right, traditional symbols of the United Kingdom.

The center of the motif is occupied by the four-quartered shield, featuring traditional heraldic designs. Around the coat of arms, the motto of the Order of the Garter, "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE," is clearly visible on a circular ribbon. The motto "DIEU ET MON DROIT" is also inscribed in relief on a banner at the bottom of the buckle, perfectly legible.
