Description
Vintage brochure for winegrowers, published in 1955 by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Institut des Vins de Consommation Courante, visible on the front of the document. This leaflet is rectangular with straight corners, with printing primarily in black and green on a white background. The main title, "VOLUNTARY UPROOTING IS A GOOD DEAL," is printed in green capital letters and occupies a central position on the page.
The upper part clearly indicates the target "WINEGROWERS." The text details the procedure for submitting a request for voluntary uprooting compensation to the Directorate of Agricultural Services, with a deadline of December 31, 1955, and specifies the documents and information to be provided (area, cadastral number, grape variety). An example sketch representing a roll of 10,000 franc banknotes accompanies the text, illustrating the incentive aspect of the approach.
The bottom of the brochure is highlighted by a wide horizontal green band, on which is written in white capital letters: "SEND YOUR REQUESTS IMMEDIATELY." The whole is designed in a graphic style typical of the mid-1950s, characterized by a sober layout, functional typography, and simple but effective visual elements.
The document shows a slight uniform patina on the visible surface, with some traces of use: small stains, slightly dog-eared corners, and a handwritten inscription in blue ("22.200") on the right side. No major tears or missing parts are visible on the presented side.
At the bottom right, the official mentions are printed: "Ministère de l’Agriculture" and "Institut des Vins de Consommation Courante," attesting to the administrative authenticity of this agricultural archive document.
