Description
This document is an original copy of the university journal "Conférencia", published by the Université des Annales. It is issue 24, dated December 1, 1920, corresponding to the 14th year (1919-1920) of publication. The cover, visible in the photo, features graphics typical of the early 20th century, with an architectural illustration in black on a cream background, representing the façade of the Université des Annales. The inscriptions are printed in black typography, offering direct legibility of all main texts.
The front page indicates the general director, Yvonne Sarcey, as well as the publisher's address in Paris (61, Rue St-Georges). The table of contents announces lectures and articles focused on Alfred de Musset's theater, music (notably Schumann and Byron), and contributions signed by Mr. Henry Bidou and Mr. Gaston Rageot. This document reflects the intellectual and cultural university life of the early 1920s in France.
The journal is presented in the form of a stapled booklet, with a soft paper cover, cream-colored and slightly yellowed by time. The upper and lower edges show some marks and traces of use, typical of a period work, with no apparent tears on the visible side. The printing remains clear, despite a slight patina and some discreet stains, particularly on the left side of the cover.
The editorial design, sober and functional, highlights the academic and documentary aspect of the publication. The absence of colored illustrations or decorative motifs reinforces the serious and institutional character of the journal. The entire cover text, including the price ("Le N° 1 Franc") and subscription terms, is perfectly legible on the visible side.
This issue is indicated as the last of the 1919-1920 academic year, with the announcement of the first issue of the following year to be published in December 1920. No other elements, such as the spine or interior pages, are visible in the provided photo.
