Description

This historic First Day Cover (FDC), No. 354, commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Liberation. It features a color illustration depicting two figures, one holding a large Cross of Lorraine on a blue map of France, a strong symbol of the Resistance. The main print highlights the spirit of national Liberation, with a graphic style typical of the 1950s, sober and evocative.

On the visible side, the round stamp "PREMIER JOUR ORDRE DE LA LIBÉRATION 20e ANNIVERSAIRE 11 NOV. 1958 PARIS", applied in black ink, is clearly visible, along with a matching stamp. The envelope bears the inscription "PREMIER JOUR D'ÉMISSION No 354 F.D.C. HISTORIQUE" in the upper left, and the title "20e ANNIVERSAIRE DE LA LIBÉRATION" at the bottom, with the publisher's blue logo visible in the lower left.

The surface of the envelope is protected by a transparent plastic sleeve, which has preserved the sharpness of the colors and the legibility of the inscriptions. The overall visible condition shows a nice presentation, with no obvious signs of major stains or creases on the exposed side.

The applied stamp, well-centered, is accompanied by the specific Paris First Day postmark, making it a sought-after piece in the philatelic theme of French historical commemorations. The graphic and textual elements are clear, with a beautiful visual harmony typical of 1950s issues.

A handwritten number "105" is visible on a label in the lower right, likely an internal classification or inventory reference.
