Description

This philatelic cover features a visible side carefully protected under a transparent plastic sleeve. On the front, two French stamps are affixed, one depicting a portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte with the inscription "1769 - NAPOLÉON BONAPARTE - 1821". The second stamp is overprinted with a blue "SUPPLÉSEE FRANCE" cancellation.

The postmark indicates "06 GRASSE", dated May 15, 1945, at 3:45 PM, and features a stylized illustration of a landscape, likely related to the Grasse region, as well as the inscription "STATION CLIMATIQUE RECONNUE" (Recognized Climatic Resort). This cover therefore illustrates a commemorative philatelic mailing made just after World War II, which gives it significant historical value.

In the lower left corner of the front, the printed inscription "CORRESPONDANCE PHILATELIQUE" (Philatelic Correspondence) can be seen. The address printed at the bottom right indicates: "25, Rue Calmel, 25, PARIS-18e" and a small handwritten or glued number "61" appears on the envelope, probably for internal classification.

The visible surface of the envelope is in good general condition, with no apparent folds or tears. The colors of the stamps remain vibrant, and the inscriptions on the postmark are legible. The whole is presented in a black and transparent protective sleeve, suitable for philatelic preservation.

The cover is typical of philatelic correspondence from the immediate post-war period, with careful franking and a presentation intended for preservation or exchange among stamp enthusiasts.
