Description

This 1970 First Day Cover, from the 43rd Philatelic Congress, features a polychrome illustration depicting a red-roofed building topped with a metallic structure reminiscent of a belfry or an industrial edifice, surrounded by stylized vegetation. The brightly colored design highlights graphic motifs typical of the period, with a striking contrast between the red roofs, the green of the trees, and the white background of the envelope.

On the right side of the envelope is a postmarked stamp, associated with two legible round postmarks bearing the inscription "Premier Jour d’Émission" (First Day Cover) as well as a date in May 1970 and the location "Lens". The red stamp is accompanied by a postal mark typical of First Day Covers, highlighting the philatelic event. The mention "Congrès Philatélique" (Philatelic Congress) is printed at the bottom left, completing the commemorative aspect of this item.

The envelope is protected by a transparent plastic film, which allows its general condition to be seen without altering the visibility of the motifs and inscriptions. A small handwritten or printed insert "10F" is visible in the lower right corner, probably used for identification or pricing during an exhibition or philatelic fair.
