Description

This First Day Cover, dedicated to the Château de Hautefort, showcases a vibrant color illustration of the famous building. The envelope visible in the photo is adorned with a matching stamp, also illustrated with a view of the castle, as well as a clearly legible postmark indicating: "CHATEAU DE HAUTEFORT PREMIER JOUR 24 HAUTEFORT 5 MAI 69". This type of item is also known as an FDC (First Day Cover) in philately.

The main visual shows a color photograph or reproduction of the Château de Hautefort, with sharp architectural details and a decorative golden border. The round postmark, affixed on the right side, attests to the date and place of issue. The mention "PREMIER JOUR D'ÉMISSION" (First Day of Issue) is clearly visible at the bottom left, confirming the authenticity of the First Day Cover.

The affixed stamp features the castle theme, with quality printing, typical of French stamps from the late 1960s. The entire item is presented in a protective plastic sleeve, which helps preserve the sharpness of the document and the colors of the image.

The visible inscriptions, both on the stamp and on the envelope, are clear and legible. No major defects appear on the visible side of the item; the overall condition seems very satisfactory for a piece of this type, with a neat presentation and no apparent signs of wear on the shown surface.

Condition

Used item in very good condition, sold as is. Presented in a protective plastic sleeve. Only the visible sides have been examined, with no visibility of the back or interior.
