Illustrated First Day Cover dedicated to the famous Vix crater, visible on the card with a detailed reproduction of this monumental Greek vase. The envelope features a colorful visual on the archaeological theme, titled "The Princely Tomb of Vix" with the inscription "The ancient Greek vase – Crater found in Vix" clearly legible. This philatelic envelope highlights a quality illustration associated with a recognized historical theme in France.

On the visible front, two First Day postmarks are affixed, both legible: "CRATERE DE VIX PREMIER JOUR 25 MARS 1966 CHATILLON S/ SEINE".
