Description

This First Day Cover (FDC) is dedicated to the World Veterans Federation Congress, held in Paris on May 6, 1961. The visible side features a brightly colored illustration depicting two hands holding a stylized globe, surmounted by a white dove, a universal symbol of peace. The entire visual stands out against a light gray background, with a white border around the illustration.

The envelope features a commemorative stamp illustrated with a dove holding an olive branch, associated with a globe adorned with a sprig, echoing the theme of peace and international solidarity. The round postal cancellation "PREMIER JOUR D’ÉMISSION – FÉDÉRATION MONDIALE DES ANCIENS COMBATTANTS – 6 MAI 61 – PARIS" (FIRST DAY OF ISSUE – WORLD VETERANS FEDERATION – MAY 6 61 – PARIS) is clearly visible on the stamp and on the envelope itself.

In the upper right, the inscription "PREMIER JOUR D’ÉMISSION HISTORIQUE F.D.C. N° 374" (HISTORIC FIRST DAY OF ISSUE F.D.C. N° 374) is printed, attesting to the authenticity of this special philatelic envelope. An official blue mark of the World Veterans Federation is also present in the lower left corner.

The text "CONGRÈS DE LA FÉDÉRATION MONDIALE DES ANCIENS COMBATTANTS" (WORLD VETERANS FEDERATION CONGRESS) extends across the bottom of the illustration, while a handwritten or printed insert visible in the lower right seems to indicate an archiving number or reference.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The envelope is protected by a transparent plastic sleeve. Some reflections and apparent creases on the protective plastic, without being able to confirm the exact condition of the paper underneath. The inscriptions and illustrations remain clear and legible.
