Description

Illustrated philatelic envelope, visible under plastic protection, dedicated to the "First Day of Issue" (FDC - First Day Cover) on the theme of the global fight against malaria. The visible side presents a colorful visual representing a stylized mosquito flying over a globe, accompanied by symbolic rays evoking spread or awareness. The printing combines main shades of brown, blue, and black, with crisp graphic details and a style characteristic of the 1960s.

In the upper right of the envelope, the inscription "PREMIER JOUR D'ÉMISSION" (FIRST DAY OF ISSUE) is visible, followed by "No 477", "F.D.C", and "PHILATÉLIE" (PHILATELY). Two legible round postmarks are affixed to the front, bearing the inscription "PREMIER JOUR" (FIRST DAY), "MONDE UNI CONTRE LE PALUDISME" (WORLD UNITED AGAINST MALARIA), dated "7 AVRIL 1962" (APRIL 7, 1962) and located in "PARIS". The main illustration occupies the left part, while a small handwritten label "10F" is visible in the bottom right, likely a price or a merchant reference.
