This illustrated envelope is a "First Day Cover" (F.D.C.) dedicated to the space history of French Guiana. On the visible part, the front features a colorful illustration showing a stylized rocket and a radar against a map of Guiana, with the mention "Kourou (Guyana) - Space City". The theme is clearly focused on aeronautics and space exploration.

The envelope features a green 45-cent stamp, also with a space theme, postmarked "March 28, 1970 - 973 Kourou" with the mention "Guyana Land of Space - First Day". Two round stamps are affixed to the front, both perfectly legible and referring to the issue date and the Kourou space base.

The text printed on the envelope reads "First Day of Issue n°751 - Historic - F.D.C.", confirming that it is a commemorative philatelic envelope. A small handwritten sticker "12F" is visible on the lower left part. The envelope is protected by a transparent plastic sleeve, which has preserved the sharpness of the colors and inscriptions.
