Description

This illustrated envelope is a "first day" or FDC (First Day Cover) philatelic item, issued on the occasion of an inauguration or postal event. On the front, there is a large, brightly colored commemorative stamp, mainly blue, yellow, beige, and pink, framed by a golden border. The stamp bears the inscription "LA POSTE MUSÉE POSTAL PHILATÉLIE" and a stylized representation of a modern building facade, topped with a golden post horn, an emblematic symbol of the French postal service. The whole is enhanced by clear printing and geometric graphic details, typical of institutional French philately of the 20th century.

Below the stamp, there are the inscriptions "PREMIER JOUR D’ÉMISSION" (First Day of Issue) and "FIRST DAY COVER," confirming the philatelic and commemorative nature of the envelope. Two special postmarks are applied in black ink on the right side, with the legible inscription "MUSÉE POSTAL-MAISON DE LA PHILATÉLIE PARIS" and the date "1973," precisely dating the issue. The postmark design features a stylized architectural view of the Paris Postal Museum, reinforcing the commemorative aspect of this piece.
