Description

First Day Cover (FDC) dedicated to Robert Esnault-Pelterie, a pioneer of French aviation. The visible side of the envelope features a color illustration, with a stylized portrait of Robert Esnault-Pelterie on the left, accompanied by a biplane against a green and blue landscape background. The inscription "ROBERT ESNAULT-PELTERIE" appears at the bottom left of the illustration.

At the top right, the mention "PREMIER JOUR D’ÉMISSION N°601 HISTORIQUE F.D.C." is clearly legible, confirming that this is a philatelic first day cover. A blue French stamp, 0.60 F, depicting an aeronautical motif, is affixed to the upper right part. The postal cancellation "21 MAI 1971, 933 LE BOURGET" with a stylized effigy of Esnault-Pelterie is crisp, attesting to the authenticity of the first day of issue.

The envelope is protected by a transparent plastic sleeve, maintaining its overall state of preservation. A small white sticker with the handwritten inscription "12F" is visible at the bottom right. No other elements are visible on the photographed side.

The surface of the envelope shows some reflections related to the plastic protection, but no major defects are observable on the visible area. The colors of the illustration remain vibrant, and the whole retains a neat and well-maintained appearance.

Condition

Used item sold as is. The envelope is visually clean, with a legible postmark and a well-preserved stamp on the visible side.
