Description

Illustrated first day cover envelope, dedicated to the natural site of Saut du Doubs, issued as part of the "Série Touristique" (Tourist Series). The visible side features a color photograph of the famous waterfall, framed by a green geometric pattern. The inscription "SÉRIE TOURISTIQUE" appears at the top, while the name of the site "LE SAUT DU DOUBS" is visible at the bottom left.

The right side of the envelope displays two perfectly clear round postmarks, bearing the inscription "L'SAUT DU DOUBS - PREMIER JOUR - 8 SEPT. 1973 - 25 VILLERS-LE-LAC". The blue vignette "PREMIER JOUR D'ÉMISSION / FIRST DAY COVER" is printed below the postmarks, confirming that it is an official FDC (First Day Cover).
