This CEF philatelic sheet commemorates the welcome given to the Huguenots for the tercentenary of the revocation of the Edict of Nantes (1685-1985). On the visible side, it features a color illustration depicting two major figures of the Reformation, one of which is signed by Albert Decaris, a member of the Institut, who also designed the integrated stamp. The pictorial style is figurative, with warm tones and detailed work on the characters' expressions.

At the top right, the inscription "1685-1985 Welcome to the Huguenots" is displayed, along with the values "Tolerance – Pluralism – Fraternity". The attached stamp, with a face value of 2.50 francs, is postmarked with a first-day cover dated "Strasbourg 30 April 1985". It is adorned with a stylized Huguenot cross and commemorative inscriptions related to the event.

An explanatory text occupies the lower part of the sheet, tracing the history of the Huguenots, the Protestant Reformation, the revocation of the Edict of Nantes, and the consequences for French Protestants. The printing is clear, on white background paper, with perforated edges on the left typical of CEF sheets designed for binder storage.

The sheet bears the inscription "N° 782 du catalogue CEF" at the top left and the copy number "8514" at the bottom left. On the left, technical information about the CEF publisher and the print run is printed in black. The presentation is typical of souvenir sheets issued for philatelists, combining illustration, historical text, and a canceled commemorative stamp.

Condition

Used item sold as is. The visible side shows very good preservation, with no apparent defects, no folds or halos on the illustrated area or the stamp. The edges are clean and the filing perforation is intact.
